  • There are THREE new limited editions of John's work being released, one made it's debut at SDCC, and is of Qui-Gon Jinn. The second and third were debuted at C5. "The Cold of Hoth" was created by John when he was playing with what he would do for the official C5 poster. Unfortunately, he passed away before he could finish his concept. ArtInsights partnered with Andrea Alvin to create a limited edition especially for C5 and subsequently for Starwars.com to release for $150! The third was in Acme's booth (the company with authorization to create the Star Wars limited editions..) and it is a gorgeous Boba Fett!
  • Andrea Alvin and Leslie Combemale of ArtInsights were at C5 showing John's work along with other exclusive Star Wars artists who had been influenced by or were close to John. Awareness was raised. Fans were speaking beautifully about having met John, and about having experienced his kindness and generosity to his fans firsthand. Appreciation was felt. It was a wonderful and healing experience, especially for Andrea, who had been with John at C4.
  • We are cataloging all of John's art and will have a list of all the available originals soon, contact ArtInsights gallery if you are interested in obtaining something original by John!

  • Well, obviously John is very excited to have been selected out of all the artists out there to create to official C4 poster and have a special booth at both the LA and European Celebrations.
  • He is also now creating with his folks at LJE a commemorative lithograph for the 50th anniversary of the Chuck Jones cartoon classic "What's Opera Doc", and this is a big honor because WOD is a big deal with the Jones family and they are having a big celebration (which will be largely here in DC with Bugs Bunny on Broadway on August 3rd and 4th and ArtInsights will be involved) this year--so now John is a Disney, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, and Lucasfilm limited edition artist. Pretty cool!
  • When the new dvd of Blade Runner is released this year (not sure when!), John will have an extended personal interview as part of the special features.
  • Onering.net will be publishing a new interview online about John's involvement in LOTR art. That should be really soon.
  • John will be at ArtInsights on October 6th, and i think it'll be the only show this year where he will be showing new works. He will let his muses tell him what to do, looking forward to seeing him and hanging out again!
